RIM to Release the White BlackBerry Bold in South Korea

You've seen the photos of the white BlackBerry Bold we took last week. RIM told us that it'd be available by the end of the month from ATT. SK Telecom in South Korea has announced it will release the white BlackBerry Bold at the end of the month as well.

SK Telecom and Research In Motion (RIM) today announced that a new white version of the BlackBerry Bold smartphone will be available from in Korea at the end of October.

The BlackBerry Bold smartphone from SK Telecom is designed to provide users with exceptional functionality, performance and style. It comes with a localized QWERTY keyboard, featuring support for Korean language input and display. The BlackBerry Bold smartphone supports tri-band HSDPA high-speed networks and comes with integrated GPS and Wi-Fi.

In addition to providing the industry’s leading mobile email and messaging solution and many premium phone features, the BlackBerry Bold smartphone also includes a rich set of multimedia capabilities and easy access to a broad range of business and lifestyle applications. In addition, it includes a brilliant half-VGA color display (480 x 320 at 217 ppi), 624 MHz processor, digital camera and microSD/SDHC memory card slot.

Launched by SK Telecom at the end of June, BlackBerry Internet Service is a powerful and easy-to-use service that utilizes RIM’s highly regarded “push” technology to allow individual customers to wirelessly access up to 10 supported POP3/IMAP email accounts.
